His Holiness Pope Agapetus I (in Latin Agapetus) is the Pope number 57 of the Catholic Church.

was born in Roma, in the current country of Italy.

The Holy Father Agapetus I initiated his pontificate in the year 535. He succeeded Pope John II. His papacy lasted for 1 years, ending during the year 536. He was succeeded by Silverius, who would become the following bishop of Rome.
