The pope Agatho

His Holiness Pope Agatho (in Latin Agatho) is the Pope number 79 of the Catholic Church.

Agatón was born in Sicilia, in the current country of Italy.

The Holy Father Agatho initiated his pontificate in the year 678. He succeeded Pope Donus. His papacy lasted for 3 years, ending during the year 681. He was succeeded by Leo II, who would become the following bishop of Rome.
