His Holiness Pope Benedict XV (in Latin Benedictus Quintus Decimus) is the Pope number 258 of the Catholic Church.

Giacomo Della Chiesa was born in Génova, in the current country of Italy.

The Holy Father Benedict XV initiated his pontificate in the year 1914. He succeeded Pope Pius X. His papacy lasted for 8 years, ending during the year 1922. He was succeeded by Pius XI, who would become the following bishop of Rome.
