His Holiness Pope Blessed Innocent XI (in Latin Innocentius Undecimus) is the Pope number 240 of the Catholic Church.

Benito Odescalchi was born in Como, in the current country of Italy.

The Holy Father Blessed Innocent XI initiated his pontificate in the year 1676. He succeeded Pope Clement X. His papacy lasted for 13 years, ending during the year 1689. He was succeeded by Alexander VIII, who would become the following bishop of Rome.
