His Holiness Pope Blessed Urban II (in Latin Urbanus Secundus) is the Pope number 159 of the Catholic Church.

Otón (Odo) de Lagery was born in Reims, in the current country of France.

The Holy Father Blessed Urban II initiated his pontificate in the year 1088. He succeeded Pope Blessed Victor III. His papacy lasted for 11 years, ending during the year 1099. He was succeeded by Paschal II, who would become the following bishop of Rome.
