His Holiness Pope Boniface I (in Latin Bonifacius) is the Pope number 42 of the Catholic Church.

was born in Roma, in the current country of Italy.

The Holy Father Boniface I initiated his pontificate in the year 418. He succeeded Pope Zosimus. His papacy lasted for 4 years, ending during the year 422. He was succeeded by Celestine I, who would become the following bishop of Rome.
