The pope Eleutherius

His Holiness Pope Eleutherius (in Latin Eleutherius) is the Pope number 13 of the Catholic Church.

was born in Epiro, in the current country of Greece.

The Holy Father Eleutherius initiated his pontificate in the year 175. He succeeded Pope Soter. His papacy lasted for 14 years, ending during the year 189. He was succeeded by Victor I, who would become the following bishop of Rome.
