The pope Formosus

His Holiness Pope Formosus (in Latin Formosus) is the Pope number 111 of the Catholic Church.

Formoso was born in Roma, in the current country of Italy.

The Holy Father Formosus initiated his pontificate in the year 891. He succeeded Pope Stephen VI. His papacy lasted for 5 years, ending during the year 896. He was succeeded by Boniface VI, who would become the following bishop of Rome.
