His Holiness Pope Gregory V (in Latin Gregorius Quintus) is the Pope number 138 of the Catholic Church.

Bruno (Duque de Carintia) was born in Sajonia, in the current country of Germany.

The Holy Father Gregory V initiated his pontificate in the year 996. He succeeded Pope John XV. His papacy lasted for 3 years, ending during the year 999. He was succeeded by Sylvester II, who would become the following bishop of Rome.
