His Holiness Pope Innocent X (in Latin Innocentius Decimus) is the Pope number 236 of the Catholic Church.

Giovanni Batista Pamfili was born in Roma, in the current country of Italy.

The Holy Father Innocent X initiated his pontificate in the year 1644. He succeeded Pope Urban VIII. His papacy lasted for 11 years, ending during the year 1655. He was succeeded by Alexander VII, who would become the following bishop of Rome.
