His Holiness Pope Innocent XII (in Latin Innocentius Duodecimus) is the Pope number 242 of the Catholic Church.

Antonio Pignatelli was born in Nápoles, in the current country of Italy.

The Holy Father Innocent XII initiated his pontificate in the year 1691. He succeeded Pope Alexander VIII. His papacy lasted for 9 years, ending during the year 1700. He was succeeded by Clement XI, who would become the following bishop of Rome.
