His Holiness Pope Lucius II (in Latin Lucius Secundus) is the Pope number 166 of the Catholic Church.

Gerardo Caccianemici was born in Bolonia, in the current country of Italy.

The Holy Father Lucius II initiated his pontificate in the year 1144. He succeeded Pope Celestine II. His papacy lasted for 1 years, ending during the year 1145. He was succeeded by Blessed Eugene III, who would become the following bishop of Rome.
