His Holiness Pope Nicholas IV (in Latin Nicolaus Quartus) is the Pope number 191 of the Catholic Church.

Jerónimo Masci was born in Ascoli, in the current country of Italy.

The Holy Father Nicholas IV initiated his pontificate in the year 1288. He succeeded Pope Honorius IV. His papacy lasted for 4 years, ending during the year 1292. He was succeeded by Celestine V, who would become the following bishop of Rome.
