His Holiness Pope Paul VI (in Latin Paulus Sextus) is the Pope number 262 of the Catholic Church.

Giovanni Battista Montini was born in Concesio, Brescia, in the current country of Italy.

The Holy Father Paul VI initiated his pontificate in the year 1963. He succeeded Pope Blessed John XXIII. His papacy lasted for 15 years, ending during the year 1978. He was succeeded by John Paul I, who would become the following bishop of Rome.
