His Holiness Pope Pius V (in Latin Pius Quintus) is the Pope number 225 of the Catholic Church.

Antonio Miguel Ghislieri was born in Bosco, in the current country of Italy.

The Holy Father Pius V initiated his pontificate in the year 1566. He succeeded Pope Pius IV. His papacy lasted for 6 years, ending during the year 1572. He was succeeded by Gregory XIII, who would become the following bishop of Rome.
