His Holiness Pope Pius VII (in Latin Pius Septimus) is the Pope number 251 of the Catholic Church.

Barnabe Gregorio Chiaramonti was born in Cesena, in the current country of Italy.

The Holy Father Pius VII initiated his pontificate in the year 1800. He succeeded Pope Pius VI. His papacy lasted for 23 years, ending during the year 1823. He was succeeded by Leo XII, who would become the following bishop of Rome.
