His Holiness Pope Pontain (in Latin Pontianus) is the Pope number 18 of the Catholic Church.

was born in Roma, in the current country of Italy.

The Holy Father Pontain initiated his pontificate in the year 230. He succeeded Pope Urban I. His papacy lasted for 5 years, ending during the year 235. He was succeeded by Anterus, who would become the following bishop of Rome.
