The pope Sergius I

His Holiness Pope Sergius I (in Latin Sergius) is the Pope number 84 of the Catholic Church.

Sergio was born in Siria, in the current country of Syrian arab republic.

The Holy Father Sergius I initiated his pontificate in the year 687. He succeeded Pope Conon. His papacy lasted for 14 years, ending during the year 701. He was succeeded by John VI, who would become the following bishop of Rome.
