Juan was born in Dalmacia, in the current country of Croatia (Hrvatska).
The Holy Father Severinus initiated his pontificate in the year 640. He succeeded Pope Honorius I. His papacy lasted for 2 years, ending during the year 642. He was succeeded by John IV, who would become the following bishop of Rome.
