His Holiness Pope Sixtus I (in Latin Xystus) is the Pope number 7 of the Catholic Church.

was born in Roma, in the current country of Italy.

The Holy Father Sixtus I initiated his pontificate in the year 115. He succeeded Pope Alexander I. His papacy lasted for 10 years, ending during the year 125. He was succeeded by Telesphorus, who would become the following bishop of Rome.
