His Holiness Pope Sylvester I (in Latin Silvester) is the Pope number 33 of the Catholic Church.

was born in Roma, in the current country of Italy.

The Holy Father Sylvester I initiated his pontificate in the year 314. He succeeded Pope Miltiades. His papacy lasted for 21 years, ending during the year 335. He was succeeded by Marcus, who would become the following bishop of Rome.
