The pope Vitalian

His Holiness Pope Vitalian (in Latin Vitalianus) is the Pope number 76 of the Catholic Church.

Vitalicio was born in Segni, in the current country of Italy.

The Holy Father Vitalian initiated his pontificate in the year 657. He succeeded Pope Eugene I. His papacy lasted for 15 years, ending during the year 672. He was succeeded by Adeodatus, who would become the following bishop of Rome.
