In Pontus, commemoration of the holy martyrs who died in the persecution under the Emperor Maximiano. Some were sprayed with molten lead, others tormented with rods between the nails, others more harassed with repeated torments, to deserve all the Lord's Palm and the Crown of martyrdom (s. ex III.).
