The pope Hyginus

His Holiness Pope Hyginus (in Latin Hyginus) is the Pope number 9 of the Catholic Church.

The Holy Father Hyginus initiated his pontificate in the year 136. He succeeded Pope Telesphorus. His papacy lasted for 4 years, ending during the year 140. He was succeeded by Pius I, who would become the following bishop of Rome.
